Britain's Air Peril

Major C. C. Turner, A. F. R. Ae. S.

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons Ltd

St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1933 first edition of "Britain's Air Peril: The Danger of Neglect, Together with considerations on the role of an Air Force" by Major C. C. Turner A. F. R. Ae. S.. Beneath the eye-catching black and white illustrated dustjacket featuring women and children cowering in fear from Britain's air peril, this hardback book is bound in a lovely forest green cloth with gold gilt lettering. Inside, one finds 133 pages of text detailing the threat of potential future air warfare to Britain, followed by a 28 page catalogue of Pittman's books. This book is in good condition, though there are some bumps and tears to the dustjacket which can thus only be described as "good", and some fading and signs of aging to the spine and the covers, the interior of the book shows an ink stamp to the front free endpaper and an ex-libris label, once belonging to Captain W.E. Johns ( Biggles author)  to the front paste down. The pages otherwise are remarkably clean and readable considering its age and rarity. This book is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiasts.
