Bound in a lovely red cloth with red top edge staining and black ink lettering and illustrations of planes to the cover and spine, this hardback book has 256 pages of text. This exciting tale of heroism and adventure is supplemented by full-page black ink illustrations throughout the book, as well as the full-colour frontispiece, "His rear tank was spurting smoke and swirling tongues of flame". This book is in good condition - though the spine is faded and there is some bumping and signs of wear, other than a 1942 inscription on the free endpaper, the interior of the book remains clean and readable. This is a remarkably well preserved and rare copy of a classic children's book, and it would make for a lovely gift for any Biggles fans.
