Bound in brown cloth with gilt lettering to the cover and spine, this hardback book has black, red and blue ink illustrations of elephants, birds and hot air balloons on its cover and spine. Inside, one finds i-viii, 352 pp. peppered with whimsical black ink illustrations by Riou, cementing this tale of adventure and exploration in the readers' imagination. This book is in good condition, though the covers are lightly bumped and worn, there is some slight splitting at the hinges, and there is some foxing throughout the book - it remains a remarkably clean and readable copy.
