This lovely "new and cheaper" edition of "The Clipper of the Clouds" by Jules Verne is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Bound in an olive green cloth with gold gilt lettering, this hardback book features a stunning blue, brown, and black ink illustration of the "Albatross" on its cover. Inside, one finds i-viii and 186 pp., recounting the tale of the inventor Robur and his adventures on his airship, peppered with whimsical black ink illustrations. This book is in fair condition - the cover and spine are significantly worn in places, there is foxing throughout the book, there is some splitting to the spine, and pages 187-192 are missing, including the illustration on page 191. This stunningly presented edition is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any Jules Verne enthusiast.
