This stunning signed 1910 second edition of "Vehicles of the Air: A Popular Exposition of Modern Aeronautics with Working Drawings" by Victor Lougheed is now in the possession of St Mary's Books. Bound in navy buckram with gold gilt lettering and an illustration of a plane, this hardback book contains 514pp. including indices. Peppered with black and white photographs and black ink illustrations (including the black and white photograph on the frontispiece depicting an Antoinette Monoplane coming to ground at Cannes, France), this book provides the reader with a contemporary presentation of aeronautical engineering. This copy is in very good condition, other than some minor bumping, it is remarkably well preserved for a book of its age and rarity. "Vehicles of the Air" is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any vintage aeronautical engineering enthusiast.
