For instance, the frontispiece, "Le Ballon Captif dans les Nuages, vu de Terre" depicts the massive tethered balloon that was featured at the Paris exhibition in 1878, which allowed paying visitors to ascend. This copy is in very good condition, there are no notable imperfections to the boards, and there is only some minor foxing to the text itself. This book is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any historians of late 19th century ballooning.
