Bound in quarter black cloth with dark grey marbled boards, this hardback book contains 439 pages of text, supplemented by black ink maps and a stunning two-page frontispiece, featuring an illustration of a downed balloon. This copy is in good condition - though there is an ex-libris paste-down on the front free endpaper, numberous inscriptions on the title pages, a Nazi library stamp, and some minor scuffing to the corners of the book - the rest of the copy remains remarkably clean and readable, and in very good condition for a book of this age and rarity. This slice of history, which has evidently passed through the hands of many owners, is now looking for its latest home, and would be the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiasts.
