Airdays (Signed)

John F. Leeming

Edition: First Edition

Published By: George G. Harrap and Co. Ltd.

St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1936 first edition of "Airdays" by John F. Leeming, signed by the author. Housed in its original cream, blue, and brown dustjacket featuring charming illustrations, this hardback book is bound in navy buckram with light blue lettering and decorations, and dark blue top edge staining. Inside, one finds 302 pages of text, supplemented by contemporary black and white photographs, including the frontispiece which depicts a petrol tank on fire at Hull. This book, which highlights the adventures and experiences of one of the pioneers of gliding and light aeroplane flying in Britain, is in good condition. Though the dustjacket is slightly torn and bumped, and though there is some light foxing throughout the book - it remains in otherwise good condition considering the age and rarity of the copy. "Airdays" is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
