Housed in its original bright blue dustjacket featuring a black and white photograph of an aeroplane, this hardback book is bound in dark green cloth with gold gilt lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds 160 pages of text, detailing the inspiring story of Pamela Sykes' decision to take up flying lessons, and the hilarious lessons she learnt along the way. This copy is in very good condition - though the dustjacket is torn and bumped and thus can only be described as fair to good, the book itself remains clean and readable, remarkably so given its age and rarity. "The Reluctant Pilot" is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiasts.
