Housed in its original blue dustjacket featuring a lovely black and white photograph of Batten, this hardback book is bound in green cloth with gold gilt lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds 304 pages of text, peppered with black and white photographs, which help to supplement this wonderful book where Batten describes each of her great flights in vivid detail. This copy is in good condition - though the dustjacket is bumped and torn and thus can only be described as "fair to good", and despite some wearing on the cloth, and some very minor foxing, this edition is otherwise clean and readable, remarkably so considering its age and rarity. This 1938 first edition of "My Life" signed by Jean Batten is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
