VH-UXX

P. G. Taylor

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Angus and Robertson Limited

St Mary's Books is proud to present this lovely 1937 first edition of "VH-UXX: The Story of an Aeroplane" by Captain P. G. Taylor. Housed in its original black dustjacket featuring a black and white photograph of the VH-UXX with red ink lettering, this hardback book is bound in crimson cloth with gold gilt lettering and decorations to the cover and spine, including a charming illustration of an aeroplane. Inside, past the map of the route on the free endpapers, one finds 208 pages of text, peppered with black and white illustrations, and detailing  the courage and cheery optimism of the crew of the VH-UXX while their record-breaking attempt was faced with a host of minor disasters. This book is in very good condition - though the dustjacket is bumped and torn and thus can only be described as good, other than some very minor foxing on the spine, this book has few other notable imperfections, remarkable for its age and rarity. "VH-UXX" is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any lovers of aviation or adventure stories.
