Edition: First Edition
Published By: D. Appleton & Company
This lovely 1928 first edition of "Gods of Yesterday" by James Warner Bellah is housed in its original blue dustjacket featuring a black ink illustration of an aeroplane in flight. Bound in black cloth with blue titles on the cover and spine, this hardback book has 259 pages of text, with 2 pages of advertisements to the back of the book. Inside, past the blue free endpapers with black ink illustrations of soldiers parachuting out of aeroplanes, this book tells the story of the suspense, tension, turmoil, and adventure of life as an aviator in the First World War. This book is in good condition, though the dustjacket can be described as very good as it has minimal tears considering its age and rarity. The book itself has some small stains on the covers, though the interior is remarkably clean and readable. "Gods of Yesterday" is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiasts or military historians.
