This lovely hardback 1919 edition of "Special Missions of the Air: An Exposition of Some of the Mysteries of Aerial Warfare" by Jacques Mortane is bound in olive green cloth, and features a stunning red and black ink illustration of a downed plane on fire. Inside, one finds 131 pages of text and one page of advertisements to the back of the book, detailing some of the particulars of special missions as they became declassified after the war. This book is in good condition, other than some minor bumping and wearing, some fading to the spine and an inscription on the front free endpapers, it remains in otherwise good condition for its age and rarity. "Special Missions of the Air" is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast or military historian.
