Hell in the Heavens

A. G. J. Whitehouse

Edition: First Edition

Published By: W. & R. Chambers Ltd.

This lovely 1938 first edition of "Hell in the Heavens" by A. G. J. Whitehouse is housed in its original blue dustjacket featuring a charming illustration of an aeroplane soaring above the clouds. Bound in light blue cloth with blue ink lettering to the spine, this hardback book contains 262 pages of text supplemented with contemporary black and white photographs such as the frontispiece image of "Bristol Fighter". This incredible story, taken from a dog-eared notebook, details the breathtaking adventures of the war fought in the air over No Man's Land. This copy, and its original dustjacket, are in very good condition, with few notable blemishes other than some very minor foxing to the spine of the book and fading to the spine of the dustjacket. "Hell in the Heavens" is looking for a new home, and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast or military historian.
