St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1914 hardback limited edition of "The Essays of an Aviator", bound in light blue cloth. Inside, past the 1916 H. M. S. Ark Royal stamp on the free endpaper, one finds 45 pages of text containing the essays and musings of an anonymous aviator, which we discover forms part of a limited print run of only 300 copies. In the preface, the author describes their own anonymity as akin to the experience of flying, as "up in the air ne loses identity, or, rather gives it to the machine". This little book is in good condition, though the corners are slightly bumped and there is foxing throughout, this copy remains well preserved considering its age and rarity. "The Essays of an Aviator" is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for anyone hoping to gain an intimate understanding of the experiences of an aviator.
