The Three Musketeers of the Air

St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1928 first edition of "The Three Musketeers of the Air: The Story of the three Bremen Flyers. Their Conquest of the Atlantic from East to West" by Captain Hermann Koehl, Major James C. Fitzmaurice, and Baron Guenther von Huenefeld. Housed in its original vibrant orange and blue dustjacket featuring an illustration of an aeroplane flying over a lighthouse, this hardback book is bound in blue cloth with gold gilt lettering and decorations on the cover and spine. Inside, past the bright blue free endpapers with illustrations of aeroplanes, one finds i-xi and 330 pages of text peppered with contemporary black and white photographs such as the frontispiece image of the "three musketeers". This story of heroism and adventure is in very good condition - though the dustjacket is significantly damaged and thus can only be described as fair, the book itself remains remarkably clean and readable given its age and rarity. "The Three Musketeers of the Air" is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
