St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1919 edition of "Training the Airmen: How they fly" by Cecil Roberts. Housed in its original cream dudstjacket featuring a black and white photograph of an RAF training scenario, this hardback book is bound in blue cloth with black ink lettering to the cover and spine. Inside, one finds i-xii, 79pp., and 2 pages of advertisements to the back of the book. This book is peppered with black and white photographs, much like the frontispiece which mirrors the image on the dustjacket - all of which help to set the scene for this account of RAF training techniques throughout the First World War. This book is in very good condition, though its dustjacket is bumped and torn and thus can only be described as good, the book itself has been remarkably well preserved, with only some minor offsetting to the free endpapers to report. "Training the Airmen" is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for anyone looking for insight into RAF training techniques.
