This lovely 1964 first edition of "Full Circle: The Story of Air Fighting" by Air Vice-Marshal J. E. "Johnnie" Johnson with illustrations by David Shepherd is housed in its original dustjacket featuring a lovely painting of the clouds. This hardback book is bound in blue cloth with gold gilt lettering to the spine, and contains i-xi and 290 pages of text. In this book, Air Vice-Marshal Johnson the top-scoring allied fighter pilot of WW2 tells us the story of the great fighter leaders of both wars and the way their actions shaped air combat. This narrative is supplemented by 37 of David Shepherds stunning black ink and full-colour illustrations, such as the frontispiece illustration of "Voss' Last Flight". "Full Circle" is impeccably well preserved, and is in very good condition - this copy is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
