This lovely 1917 edition of "The Way of the Air" by Edgar C. Middleton or "An Air Pilot" is housed in its original dustjacket featuring a black ink illustration of an aeroplane. Bound in blue cloth with black ink lettering and borders, this hardback book contains i-viii and 184 pages of text inteded to assist the young man who wants to adopt flying as a profession and relaying incidents taken from the diary of an air pilot in Active Service in Northern France during the Great War. This book is in very good condition - though the dustjacket is faded and damaged and thus can only be described as fair - the book itself has been well-preserved, with few notable blemishes or imperfections. "The Way of the Air" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast hoping to gain a more personal understanding of the experiences of airmen.
