This lovely 1911 first edition of "The Principles of Aeroplane Construction With Calculations, Formulae, and 51 Diagrams" by Rankin Kennedy, C.E. is bound in blue cloth with a ripple design, and is decorated with light blue ink lettering and a charming illustration of an early aeroplane on the front cover. Inside, one finds i-vii and 137 pages of text supplenmented by diagrams, illustrations, and mathematical calculations to help the reader understand the various principles of aeroplane construction. This book is in very good condition - though the design on the cover is slightly worn, the interior of the book remains remarkably clean and readable, particularly for a book that is over 100 years old. "The Principles of Aeroplane Construction" is looking for a new home and would be the perfect gift for any reader hoping to gain a better understanding of early 20th century ideas on aerodynamics.
