Sopwith Aeroplanes in the Great War

Major C. C. Turner, R.A.F.

Published By: Harman Printing Co.

St Mary's Books is proud to present "Sopwith Aeroplanes in the Great War" by Major C. C. Turner of the Royal Air Force. This simple little paperback book with black ink lettering on the cover contains 75 pages of text and highlights several anecdotes about the performance of the Sopwith in the war, to make the point illustrated by the quotation on the cover: "the most feared of British machines is the Sopwith". Little is known about this text - one can comfortably assume it was published at some point in the interwar period, and had a relatively small print run, as it appears there are few other copies available in the UK. This copy is in very good condition, with some minor bumping to the cover and some foxing throughout the book, it remains remarkably well preserved for such a rare copy. "Sopwith Aeroplanes in the Great War" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any Great War aviation enthusiast looking for a scarce copy of a detailed contemporary report.
