Edition: Third Edition
Published By: Hutchinson & Co. Ltd.
St Mary's Books is proud to present the third edition of "Pilgrims and Pioneers: Reminiscences of Sir Harry Brittain", accompanied by two original letters signed by the author in January and February 1948. Housed in its original cream and red dustjacket featuring a facsimile of Brittain's writing in his signature green ink, this hardback book is bound in navy cloth with gold gilt lettering to the cover and spine. Inside, one finds 285 pages of text peppered with black and white photographs and facsimile writings, recalling the life of this great public persona and ceaseless advocate for aviation. This edition, and the enclosed letters, are in good condition. The dustjacket can unfortunately only be described as fair to good due to the significant losses it has suffered, and the cloth on the book itself is waving. However, this text remains clean and readable. "Pilgrims and Pioneers: Reminiscences of Sir Harry Brittain" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any lover of a varied memoir, or any aviation enthusiast.
