A wonderful account from historian of air Harry Harper, documenting the develpopment of the aeroplane from 'amiable lunacy', to commercial proposition, to potent weapon, based on personal experiences and anecdotes. This edition is bound in bright blue hard covers with silver gilt lettering on the spine. Within, there are 57 illustrations in the form of black and white photography. Overall,the book itself is in very good condition. The binding is strong and the pages throughout are bright and clean, with only some slight foxing to the text block. The dust jacket is in good condition, with a couple of small closed tears, and slight wear to the edges. pp. 214.
