In this book, the author reveals some of the inner history of men and machines in the Hugh-Speed Flight during practice for the 1927 Schneider Trophy Contest, which was held at Venice. This edition is bound in lovely blue cloth, with gilt lettering and detail on the spine and the front cover. It is illustrated with black and whote photographs throughout the book, as well as with detailed drawing at the beginning of each chapter. Overall, the book is in very good condition. The pages are clean and undamaged throughout, and the gilt on the cover has remained bright. The dust jacket is in good condition, with a few open tears to the edges, but with a protective covering to help prevent further damage. pp. 270.
