Our Atlantic Attempt

H. G. Hawker and K. Mackenzie Grieve

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Methuen & Co. Ltd.

St Mary's Books is incredibly proud to present this 1919 first edition of "Our Atlantic Attempt" by H. G. Hawker and K. Mackenzie Grieve, housed in its original dustjacket making it an incredibly scarce copy. Bound in light blue cloth, this hardback book contains i-xi and 126 pages of text, complete with stunning contemporary black and white photographs. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to a modest account of a gallant and pioneering voyage across the Atlantic. This copy is impeccably well preserved - other than a small inscription and some minor offsetting on the front free endpaper, there are few notable blemishes or imperfections on this book. The original dustjacket, on the other hand, can only be described as fair, as though it remains clean it has suffered significant losses - however, it is nevertheless remarkable that this copy has its dustjacket. "Our Atlantic Attempt" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any early aviation enthusiast or lover of a good pioneering adventure.
