St Mary's Books is proud to present this circa 1918 hardback edition of "Die Rumpler-Werke A.-G.", featuring brown boards with handsome black lettering and a black cloth spine. Inside, past the brown free endpapers, one finds 191 pages of text complete with black and white photographs, stunning illustrations, fold-out diagrams, and intricate details about the aircraft produced by Rumpler-Werke in this period. This slice of history showcases the work of Rumpler-Werke, an aircraft manufacturer that reached its height in 1918 with 3,300 employees - after the Treaty of Versailles banned the manufacturing of aircraft in Germany, however, the company attempted to diversify into automobiles before liquidating in 1926. This book, therefore, is a rare artifact of the interwar period and the impact of the Treaty on Germany. This copy is in very good condition, with only some minor bumping and staining to the boards to report. Otherwise, this copy is remarkably clean and readable considering its age and rarity. "Die Rumpler-Werke A.-G." is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast or collector of Rumpler-Werke memorabilia.
