St Mary's Books is proud to present "Kenneth: A Collection of Letters Dating from His Enlistment and During His Services in the Aviation Corps of the United States Navy" by Lieut. Kenneth MacLeish, edited and arranged by his mother, Mrs Andrew MacLeish. Handsomely bound in deep blue buckram with gold gilt lettering on the cover and spine, this hardback book contains 131 pages of text, complete with stunning contemporary black and white photographs. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to a collection of letters by a most sunny and courageous soldier who sadly died in the Great War. This collection, therefore, is in our possession thanks to the efforts of Lieutenant MacLeish's mother, who painstakingly produced this book as a memoir to her sons life and character. This remarkable little book is in good condition - the corners of the boards are lightly bumped, there is an inscription on the free endpaper, and there is some slight foxing or water damage to the bottom edge of some of the prelims. "Kenneth: A Collection of Letters" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for anyone hoping to better understand the personal impact of the war.
