St Mary's Books is proud to present this lovely early edition of "Motorless Flight", a collection of essays edited by J. R. Ashwell-Cooke. Housed in its original white dustjacket featuring a black and white photograph of a glider in flight, this hardback book is bound in vibrant blue cloth with gold gilt lettering to the cover and spine. Inside, one finds i-vii and 149 pages of text detailing the various aspects of gliding from multiple perspectives and supplemented by contemporary black and white photographs. This copy, and its original dustjacket, are in good to very good condition. Apart from some minor bumps, tears, and staining, the dustjacket is intact and largely undamaged. The book's boards have been well-protected, and other than some minor foxing to the title page and throughout the book, this copy remains readable. "Motorless Flight" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any gliding enthusiast.
