Fights and Flights

Charles Rumney Sampson

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Ernest Benn Limited

St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1930 first edition of "Fights and Flights" by Air Commodore Charles Rumney Sampson. Bound in olive green cloth with gold gilt lettering on the spine and a charming gold gilt illustration of a horse on the cover, this hardback book contains i-xii and 372 pages of text. Peppered with contemporary black and white photographs, this book provides a detailed and intimate history and account of Charles Rumney Sampson's wartime experiences as an aviator. This book is complete with assorted newspaper clippings related to the authors' achievements as an aviator. This copy is in very good condition - though the cloth on the spine is slightly faded, there is some slight bumping to the corners, and Douglas Whetton Collection stamps on the free endpaper and title page - the interior remians otherwise clean and readable. "Fights and Flights" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
