Airports

John Walter Wood

Edition: First Edition

Published By: Coward-McCann Inc.

St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1940 first edition of "Airports: Some Elements of Design and Future Development" by John Walter Wood. Bound in hessian cloth with burgundy ink lettering and a charming illustration of three aeroplanes in a triangle on the cover, this hardback book contains i-xv and 364 pages of text. Inside, one finds a comprehensive study of the airports of the United States and Europe, complete with black and white photographs, diagrams, and detailed commentary on the good qualities, defects, and the influence of the environment on the design of each airport. This book is in very good condition - though the corners are slightly bumped and there is some minor wearing and staining on the cloth, other than a Royal Aero Club Library and AOA stamp on the free endpaper, this copy remains bright, clean, and readable. "Airports" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
