The memoir of V. M. Yeates, who died of tuberculosis due to war-strain shortly after finishing the book, covering his experience of war. This is a specially revised edition that was only available to World Books Members. It is beautifully quarter bound in deep red cloth with silver gilt lettering and detail to the front cover and spine. The forntispiece shows a black and white illustration of the author, ages 18. Overall, this copy is in very good condition with clean and bright pages all throughout. There is some very faint foxing to the textblock. The gilt lettering and detail in bright and undamaged. The dust jacket is also in very good condition, with only some wear to the corners. pp. 305.
