This is one of the rare autobiographical works of a British commercial pilot active in the thirties. The wonderful book is bound in dark blue cloth. It is also illustrated richly throughout with drawings by the author. The endpapers are illustrated with maps charting the routes that the author flew over Africa and Europe. Overall, this copy is in very good condition with clean and bright pages throughout. There is some slight fading to the extremities of the covers. The dust jacket is in good condition, with open tears along the edges, especially at the corners. pp. 183.
