This wonderful book journey through history to tell the reader about all the important names in the field of flight, starting in Ancient Greece with Daedalus and Icarus, and ending in the contemporary period with the conquerors of the Poles. Bound in lovely pale blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and the front cover, as well as a white illustration on the front cover. It is extremely richly illustrated with 100 photographs over 21 plates. Overall, this book is in very good condition with clean and bright pages all throughout. There is some slight rubbing to the edges of the spine. "Les Héros de L'Air" forms a small part of the extensive aviation collection recently acquired at St Mary's Books. pp. 191.
