The spine is bound in grey cloth with a mock wood print on the covers. It is richly illustrated with plates of black and white photograohy depicting the individuals, their planes, and the icy landscape in which much of the story takes place. The endpapers illustrated with maps of Alaska. Overall, this book is in very good condition with clean and bright pages throughout and no damage to the covers.
