St Mary's Books is proud to present sheet music for the 1927 piece, "l'Oiseau Blanc", arranged by Paul Marinier with lyrics by Lucien Boyer, as well as the music for the 1930 "Chanson des Ailes" arranged and written by Raoul d'Ast. These two paperback pieces of music are handsomely decorated with intricate pictorial covers in green and blue ink, respectively. Inside both pamphlets, one finds the sheet music and French lyrics for these fascinating little songs composed about aviation - highlighting the extent to which feats of the air became distinct cultural landmarks in the early 20th century. These copies are in very good condition - with only some minor bumping and wearing to their edges, they appear bright, clean, and readable. "l'Oiseau Blanc" and "Chanson des Ailes" are looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation collector or music lover.
