This lovely 1982 revised reprinting of "Airlines of the United States since 1914" by R.E.G. Davies is housed in its original blue dustjacket featuring a black and white photograph of an aeroplane. Handsomely bound in blue cloth with gold gilt lettering to the spine, this hardback book contains xiv and 746 pages of text peppered with photographs, maps, tables, diagrams and more information pertaining to the establishment and progress of the US air transport system which at the time of writing carried half of all air passengers outside the USSR. This copy, and its original dustjacket, are in very good condition - with few notable blemishes or imperfections, it appears virtually as-new. "Airlines of the United States since 1914" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any civil aviation enthusiast.
