St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1941 reprint of "Pilot's Summer: a diary of three months in the R.A.F." by F. D. Tredrey, signed by fellow aviation author Owen G. Thetford. Housed in its original blue dustjacket with a black and white photograph featuring aeroplanes in flight, this hardback book is bound in navy cloth with a brown cloth spine featuring yellow ink lettering. Inside, one finds 236 pages of text peppered with similarly stunning aerial photography. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to thrilling descriptions of flying maneouvres, and intimate day-by-day detail of a three month course at the Central Flying School. This book is in good condtition - the cloth on the spine is worn, there is an "Owen Thetford Aviation Library" paste-down on the free endpaper, as well as an aviation photograph paste down on the free endpaper, and a further aviation illustration paste-down on the frontispiece page. In addition, the dustjacket has suffered significant damage and thus can only be described as fair. "Pilot's Summer" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
