St Mary's Books is proud to present "Aerial Russia: The Romance of the Giant Aeroplane" by Lieut.-Col. B. Roustam-Bek, signed by C.J.H. MacKenzie-Kennedy. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to an account of C. J. H. Mackenzie-Kennedy, the aeronautical engineer credited with the creation of the "Kennedy Giant", and his visit to Russia, which helped to promote and inspire further developments in Imperial Russian Aviation. This is a fascinating slice of history, bearing the signature of C. J. H. Mackenzie-Kennedy dated 1928 - just 12 years after the books' 1916 publication, but in an era where much had changed in the relationship between the UK and Russia, then the Soviet Union. Bound in green cloth with navy ink lettering and the imperial russian aviation crest on the cover, this hardback book contains i-xvi and 154 pages of text with 4 pages of advertisements to the back of the book. This copy is in very good condition, though there is some wearing to the cover, spine, and back of the book, the interior pages, though slightly yellowed, remain clean and readable. "Aerial Russia" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
