This copy of "With The Wind In My Face" is signed by the author to the frontispiece and bound in pictorial boards. The author recalls his childhood memories of Siberia, is escape from occupied Poland to Britain, orientation into the RAF, the beginning of the Battle of Britain and the formation of the Polish Squadrons. This self-published edition is illustrated richly throughout with 63 black and white photographs, maps, drawings and scans of documents. Overall, this book is in very good condition. The covers are clean and undamaged on the whole with only some slight rubbing to the edges. The pages throughout are clean and bright. A previous owner has made some annotations in pen and in age 117 has pasted in a newspaper clipping of an obituary of one of the mentioned persons. pp. 166. "With the Wind in My Face" is just one book in the extensive aviation collection which has recently been acquired by St Marys Books.
