The story of a Flying Fortress crew in the tremendous air campaign that saved the day for the United Nations in the Pacific South West. The author interviewed Lieutenant Colonel Frank Kurtz and his crew and has woven their personal narratives into a story about the first great air campaign of the second world war. This is a first edition bound in black with red lettering to the spine. The endpapers are illustrated with a map of the surrounding area. A previous owner has pasted a relevant newspaper article into the back of the book. Overall, this book is in very good condition. The pages are bright and clean all throughout. The dust jacket, wrapped in a clear protective film and backed with paper for the sake of conservation, is in good condition, with some wear to the edges and a closed tear that goes up the spine and onto the front cover. pp. 273. "Queen Die Proudly" is a part of the extensive aviation collection which has recently become available from St Mary's Books.
