St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1995 first edition of "A Harvest of Memories: The life of Pauline Gower M.B.E." signed by the author, her son, Michael Fahie. Housed in its original red dustjacket featuring a stunning full colour illustration of Gower alongside some aeroplanes, this hardback book is bound in red cloth with silver gilt lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds 207 pages of text peppered with contemporary black and white photographs, as well as, interestingly, some photographs and an invitation from the September 1995 launch of this book. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to the inspirational story of Pauline Gower, Commander of the Civil Air Guard and founder of the Womens Section of the Air Transport Auxiliary, written by her son who never got to know his incredible mother who died in his infancy. Though there are some minor bumps to the dustjacket, this book is overall in very good condition, and appears virtually as new. "A Harvest of Memories" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
