Bound in navy cloth with gold gilt lettering and an outline of an aeroplane on the cover, this hardback book contains 78 pages of advertisements, followed by i-v, 105pp. (Part A: The Progress of the World in Civil Aviation During the Year 1938-39), 58pp. (Part B: The Progress of the World in Military Aviation During the Year 1938-39), 295pp. (Part C: All the World's Aeroplanes), 103pp. (Part D: All the World's Aero-Engines) 5pp. (Part E: The World's Airships). This copy is in very good condition, with only some very minor bumping to the corners, and a small inscription on the front free endpaper. This fascinating edition also contains a publishers note on the front free endpaper, stating "Owing to the deletion of certain foreign advertisements the pagination of the Advertisement Section in this book is not consecutive", and indeed some advertisements have been censored due to the outbreak of war in Europe. "Jane's All the World's Aircraft 1939" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
