St Mary's Books is proud to present "Through the Weather House, Or The Wind, The Rain and Six Hundred Miles Above" by R.A. Watson Watt. Housed in its original cream dustjacket with black ink lettering and red ink borders, this hardback book is bound in bright blue cloth with navy ink lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds i-xi and 192 pages of text, supplemented by diagrams and black and white aerial photographs. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to a showcase of the intricate and world-wide evdence on which the scientific weather forecasts are based, how that evidence is collected, sifted, and collated, and how to interpret it. This copy, and its original dustjacket, are in good condition. The dustjacket has suffered some significant losses along the top and bottom edges of the spine, and the book itself has some fading to the cloth along the edges and the spine. In addition, there is some minor foxing in the prelims pages of the book - however, the remainder of the pages are bright, clean and readable. "Through the Weather House" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
