St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1909 first edition of "How to Build a 20 Foot Bi-Plane Glider" by Alfred Powell Morgan. Bound in olive green cloth with black ink lettering, this hardback book contains 60 pages of text followed by 29 pages of advertisements to the back of the book, highlighting the other titles in the S & C series, of which this book marks No.14. Within the pages of this book, the reader is provided with a practical handbook on the construction of a bi-plane gliding machine "enabling an intelligent reader to make his first step in the field of aviation, with a comprehensive understanding of the principles involved". This copy is in very good condition - though there is some slight bumping to the corners, a small ink stain on the front board, and an October 1913 inscription on the front free endpaper, the book remains otherwise remarkably well preserved given its age and rarity. "How to Build a 20 Foot Bi-Plane Glider" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
