Edition: Limited Edition
Published By: William Heinemann Ltd.
St Mary's Books are proud to present this incredibly scarce limited edition copy of "The Wanderer of Liverpool" signed by the author, John Masefield. This copy, published in 1930, marks copy no.10 of only 9 total copies available for sale, meaning it is incredibly hard to come across. Housed in a protective brown slipcase, this book is bound in a full lido calf hand-sewn binding with gold tooled decorations on the cover and spine, which itself has 6 raised bands. Inside, past the blue silk free endpaper, the reader is greeted with an original poem by John Masefield in his handwriting, and complete with colour illustrations and decorations. This copy contains i-ix and 119 pages of text, handsomely presented on hand-woven paper and supplemented by stunning full-colour illustrations, paintings, and diagrams such as the fold-out diagrams to the rear of the book. This copy is in very good condition. Though the slipcase has suffered some damage, the book itself remains remarkably bright, clean and readable with few notable imperfections other than some foxing on the rear endpaper. "The Wanderer of Liverpool" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any poetry enthusiast, or lover of a great travel story.
