St Marys Books are proud to present this lovely hardback 2006 Folio Society edition of "The Gentleman's Daughter" by Amanda Vickery. Housed in a brown slipcase with a full colour facsimilie painting of a woman playing an instrument on one side, this hardback book is bound in sparkly peach cloth with an intricate gold gilt cross-hatched pattern and gold gilt lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds i-xxiii and 642 pages of text, peppered with full-colour illustrations. This fascinating social history of women's lives in Georgian England is in very good condition, and remains remarkably well-preserved, save for a few minor bumps on the slipcase. "The Gentleman's Daughter" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any historian.
