St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1979 first edition of "African Trio" by Georges Simenon. Housed in its original dustjacket, featuring a full-colour photograph of several accessories including a tribal mask, this hardback book is bound in black cloth with gold gilt lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds i-viii and 325 pages of text containing the short stories: Talatala, Tropic Moon, and Aboard the Aquitaine. Within each story, Georges treats the reader to narratives in line with his 1932 statement, "the time of colonial Africa is running out" - in each, focusing predominantly on white colonisers, and the moral decay their positions of superiority have caused within them. This copy, and its original dustjacket, are in very good condition, with few notable blemishes or imperfections it appears well-preserved. "African Trio" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any literature enthusiast.
