St Mary's Books is proud to present this incomplete set of "Wings: Fighting Aces of War Skies", published by Wings Publishing Co, in New York City. Bound in their original paper covers with their characteristically vibrant cover art, these paperback periodicals each contain several short pulp fiction novels from notable contemporary aviation authors. Each edition, dedicated to American flying men who have carried the stars and stripes to the sky, contains black ink illustrations to help bring the stories to life. Within this set, one finds the 1934 December-January, July, October, November and December issues; the 1935 February issue; and the 1948 Winter issue. The periodicals within this set are in mixed condition - some are well preserved, with their original covers protected by plastic wrapping, and containing less bumps on the covers and slightly less yellowing to the interior pages (Oct, Nov, and Dec 34). Feb 35 and Dec-Jan 33-34 are similarly well-preserved, though not contained in plastic. July 1934 has some losses to the spine and some staining to the back. Finally, Winter 1948 has a loose cover. "Wings: Fighting Aces of War Skies" is looking for a new home and would make for a perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
