St Mary's Books is proud to present this complete set of "Flying: The Popular Air Weekly" spanning from 2nd April 1938, until the publication ceased operation on the 4th November 1939 due to the Second World War. Each volume is bound in their original paper covers, featuring vibrant cover illustrations - or in the later editions, black and white photographs overlaid with vibrant lettering. Inside each edition, one finds black and white photographs, articles on contemporary developments, and relevant aviation-themed advertisements. This complete set contains each weekly edition of "Flying" from the 2nd April 1938 to the 4th November 1939. In this manner, this set of "Flying" not only provides the reader with a slice of aviation history - but a sense of the build-up, rising tension, and the developments leading up to the start of the Second World War, here experienced through the lens of an Aviation periodical. This set is in very good condition - though some of the issues are slightly bumped and scuffed at the corners and edges, they remain overall well-preserved given their age and rarity. This complete set of "Flying" Magazine, spanning 2nd April 1938 to 4th November 1939 is looking for a new home, and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
