St Mary's Books is proud to present this 1966 first edition of "Fighting Wings: Aerial Combat in World War I" by Arch Whitehouse and Milton Lancelot. Housed in its original blue dustjacket featurign a dramatic illustration of an aeroplane soaring through the sky, this hardback book is bound in navy cloth with white ink lettering to the spine. Inside, one finds 96 pages of text, peppered with black and white photographs of notable aviators and their aeroplanes, chronicling aerial combat in the first world war. This copy is in very good condition - the dustjacket has only suffered some minor scuffing along its edges and otherwise remains well-preserved, but the book itself is remarkably bright, clean and readable and appears virtually as-new. "Fighting Wings" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
